Member of the residuum of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party “Hramada” Ihar Barysau lost his job in Mahilou.

As radio Svaboda reports, the management of the pipeline equipment company fired the activist for allegedly for not performing his duties. Barysau says in turn that the ground for his dismissal was his public activity.

The activist had worked for the pipeline equipment company for a month, though the labour contract was made for three months. He claims the management didn’t make any warning to him. He has worked as an economist in the sales department.

He company refuses to comment on dismissal of Ihar Barysau. They say it’s their internal affair.

Ihar Barysau is the leader of the social democrats in Mahilou. The documents for registration of the regional party department are being considered by the legal department of the regional executive committee. He has recently expressed his protest against setting a bust monument to Russian imperator Nicholas II in the city.

It’s not the first time when Ihar Barysau has been fired. In 2006, the opposition activist was sacked from Mogilevliftmash plant. The current head of the regional authorities Pyotr Rundik was the director of the plant at that time. The reason for dismissal was talking part in a protest rally.

Ihar Barysau graduated from European Humanities University. He is Master in Political Sciences.
