As the mother of an activist of “European Belarus” Dzmitry Drozd informs, her son did not even write anything about the accident himself. He does not inform about any problems with his health to her, for her not to worry. Zoya Drozd has found out about everything from his acquaintances. When she asked Dzmitry about that, he answered that back in February he fell during the walk and broke his nose. The woman does not know whether it is true. She does not exclude that the nose could have been broken during interrogations. After the statements of Ales Mikhalevich and Andrei Sannikov about tortures in prison she has even more doubts, “Nasha Niva” writes.

Dzmitry writes letters to his mother often. Zoya Drozd has noticed that her son is keeping up. He has written that he had seen Andrei Sannikov and Fiodar Mirzayanau. He wrote optimistically: “I won’t give up”.

In order not to lose time, he started to learn Polish. He also writes a new book, however, not a historical one this time. He does not have access to primary sources of information.

Dzmitry Drozd had been sentenced to 3 years’ imprisonment in a colony with reinforced regime in the so-called “mass riots” case of December 19, 2010.
