Lukashenka’s holiday has dragged on

The “short-term” vacation of the dictator lasts for two weeks already.

Last time the official leader appeared in public on January 17, when he gave an interview to Chinese mass media. Two weeks have passed, and only letters of congratulation are received from him from Sochi, “Salidarnasts” writes

This story repeats the events of the last year. Then amid the crisis period (after the events of December 19) the leader of the state and his youngest son Kolya headed for Sochi. The presidential press-service reported: it is a short-term holiday, no more than a week. But the trip lasted for about two weeks.

In a year, amid the economic crisis, Lukashenka and his son are in Krasnaya Polyana. And again, it is a short-term holiday, which lasts for almost two weeks, if his emergence in public on January 17 in Belarus is considered.

The exact date of Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s return to his working place is informed post factum traditionally. However, like in the last year, his office is diligently sending congratulations to King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Abdullah II, the leader of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, Russia’s People’s Artist Lev Leshchenko.

Another fact that makes one smile is that Alyaksandr Lukashenka ad his son celebrated the victory of Victoria Azarenka drinking a cup of tea against the background of skiing slopes, while at the official website of the president it is shown that he is in Russia “on a working visit.” Whom he meets with? What questions are being solved by him? When he is going to come back after the “working visit combined with the short-term holiday”? Not a word about that…

But certainly he has nowhere to hurry… The GDP is growing, salaries are to reach $500 again soon, and in general everything is wonderful in our country. And let the whole world wait…
