Russia to deliver to Belarus second lot of TOR-M2 missile systems this year

It is to be done under the previous agreements, said Alexander Fomin, First Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation to journalists on Wednesday, Interfax reports.

We remind that the first battery of the TOR-M2 air defense missile system was received by Belarusian Air Defense and Air Force from Russia in December last year.

TOR-M2 is an all-weather, short-range surface-to-air missile system that can effectively engage aircraft, cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and ballistic targets. Its radar provides a maximum detection range of 20 km. a battery of four TOP-M2 vehicles can engage 16 targets. Tor can provide extended detection and tracking of fast, low radar cross section targets and capable of quickly and efficiently dealing with massed air raids, whilst providing a high degree of automation and integration with other air defence assets.
