“Musorok” poster author given 10 days more in custody (Video)

31

The Maskouski district court sentenced Ivan Amelchanka to 10 days in custody for “swearing”.

The news was received from Ivan's relatives and friends, who visited the Maskouski district court, Radio Svaboda reports.

“No one was allowed to attend the trial. He was found guilty of swearing and sentenced to 10 days in custody. We saw Ivan as he was getting out of a police vehicle. He is thin, but keeps up. He said they treated him well,”activist Maria Krot says.

Ivan Amelchanka was sentenced to 15 days in custody for raising a poster “Musorok” (a slang word for a policeman) near police officer who was filming the Chernobyl Way rally. Police hunted the activist several days, but failed to find him. Ivan Amelchanka surrendered to police voluntary.

We remind a number of activists were not released after their serving terms in custody recently. They stood new trials behind closed doors. No one knows why they are thrown to the detention centre again.
