Opposition in Salihorsk was not even allowed to collect signatures

On Monday, July 23 the last action group was registered in Salihorsk district.

All in all four teams of the contenders for the candidacy will be collecting signatures in two Salihorsk electoral districts. All of them are representatives of the authorities.

In the 68th city election district by collecting signatures are nominated Eugene Obolensky and Igor Delendik. The first is the current "deputy" of the "house of representatives". The second is the Director of Salihorsk Public Utilities, reports HRC "Vesna". According to independent observer Leonid Markhotka, meeting on the registration of the action groups in this district last no more than 10 minutes and was rather a formality:

- In past years, when the opposition was also creating its own action groups, the registration process was more meticulous. The Commission was examining in detail all the documents. But not now. Both candidates are the nominee of the government. None of their representatives was present at the meeting.

According to Leonid Markhotka, the action group of Obolensky consists of 72 people, while there is only 10 people in the team of Delendik. These figures are another confirmation of previous suggestions that the main candidate of the authorities in Salihorsk city election district number 68 will be the man from Belkaly, Eugene Obolensky. Director of Salihorsk Public Utilities Igor Delendik in this case plays the role of sparring partner, creating a presence of an alternative on the "elections".

Slightly more intrigue is in Salihorsk rural electoral district № 69, where the action groups of the chairman of the October village council Irina Bass, and the Head of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee of Education, and also the "deputy" of the Minsk regional council of deputies of Myadel electoral district, Taisa Danilevich were registered. The latter is known for her direct relation to the politically motivated exclusion of Ivan Shyla from school in 2008. Registration of the action groups of these candidates took no more than 5 minutes.

Not all members of the election commissions were on the meetings. But, according to independent observers, the quorum has been reached.
