Br25,000 for participation in parade

Vitebsk residents have been promised 25,000 rubles for taking part in a parade on July 3.

An announcement calling on Vitebsk resident to attend the parade with posters and official flag and receive 25,000 rubles appeared on VKontakte social networking website.

The announcement was posted in the group “Typical Vitebsk”.

“People wanted for a parade on July 3, Independence Day, at 9-10 am. Just to walk with posters, balloons and flags. It will take about an hour. You needn't do or hand out anything. Just walk! You will get 25,000 just after the walk.

Both boys and girls are welcome. About 50 people needed. If more people come, everyone will be paid!” the invitation reads.

Comments show that people are not ready to visit the event for his sum.

A military parade will also be held in Minsk. More than 3,000 soldiers and 150 military vehicles are expected to take part in the event. The Ministry of Defence traditionally keeps the cost of the parade secret.
