Post office in Minsk city district doesn't work: All employees quit

Residents of Minsk's city district Kurasoushchyna couldn't get to post office No. 108.

It is situated at 25 Korzhenevsky Street.

Readers of charter97.org report that a crowd gathered at the door at 10:15, but the post office didn't open.

“I went to the post office today. At 10:15, there were about 20 people at the door waiting for the post office to open. People say the post office manager has worked for 2 weeks, got tired and didn't appear at work. All other employees were trainees. They quit the job,” a reader writes.

Charter97.org tried to learn details and called the post office. No one was answering the phone for 30 minutes. Belpochta company said to the website's correspondent that they had problems with that post office and supposed that “they don't pick up the phone because they are probably busy”. Asked why people complained, an employee of the logistics department said: “There were some problems, but a deputy head of the department went to the post office to help.” The Belpochta representative refused to say what “problems” they had.
