BDR Rada Awards Aliaksandra Herasimenia, Zianon Pazniak And Other Famous Belarusians

Medals and Orders of the Chase were awarded.

The Rada of the Belarusian Democratic Republic awarded outstanding Belarusians. The solemn presentation of medals and orders of Pahonia took place on April 27 at the Belarusian House in Warsaw. The Deputy Chairman of the BDR Rada, Siarhei Navumchyk, awarded them.

The Free Belarus movement leader Zianon Pazniak was awarded the title of Pahonia Knight with the presentation of the Commander's Cross of the Pahonia Order. This is the highest award of the BDR Rada.

The same award was received by the head of the Viasna Human Rights Center, Nobel Peace Prize winner Ales Bialiatski, sentenced by the Lukashenka regime to ten years in prison.

The awarding of titles took place for the first time since 1950.

The medal of the Pahonia Order was awarded to Aliaksandra Herasimenia, multiple world and European swimming champion, winner of three Olympic medals, who supported the Belarusian people during the protests.

Alena Talstaia, an activist of the Razam solidarity movement, Ales Zarembiuk, the head of the Belarusian House in Warsaw, and Yaraslau Ivaniuk, a Belarusian publisher from Białystok, were also awarded medals.

Recall, the BDR Rada awarded the medals of the Pahonia Order to the opera singer Marharyta Leuchuk, writer Alherd Bakharevich and activist Alina Nahornaia. The Belarusian volunteer "Atom" was posthumously awarded.
