Internal Affairs Ministry does not consider hit about Putin gross violation of public order

The chant about Putin, performed by football fans from Belarus and Ukraine in Barysau (Borisov), is not a gross violation of public order.

After the game dozens of fans were detained, however, the Internal Affairs Ministry of Belarus refuted this figure, saying that “these report does not reflect the actual situation.” Charter97.org website has been informed about that by the press-service of the agency.

“After the game football fans were detained. The exact number is being verified at the moment. There were no gross violations of the public order recorded during the game,” the message of the Internal Affairs Ministry of Belarus reads.

It is known that all the detained Belarusian fans have been fined Br600,000 by decisions of courts today, while some of Ukrainian fans were sentenced to fines and arrests.
