Dzhemilev: Putin got a new scheme on the Crimean Tartars deportation

Occupation authorities in Crimea, having announced a call-up to the Russian army, intend to take the Tartars out of the boundaries of the peninsula.

It was announced by Mustafa Dzhemilev, Commissioner for the President of Ukraine on the Crimean Tartars, informs “Svoboda Radio”.

“They understand that the Crimean Tartars won’t serve in the Russian army. And it is intended it will be a voluntary dereliction. In order not to be hostages they will leave the territory with their families. These actions make the Crimean Tartars leave Crimea, this is some kind of a voluntary deportation,” Dzhemilev guesses.

On March 16 with military and political support of the Russian Federation unconstitutional “referendum” on self-determination was held in Crimea. It was not recognized neither by foreign community nor Ukraine.

After that, Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, endorsed the law on Crimea and Sevastopol accession to Russia on the rights of the sub-sovereign entity.

In October Human Rights Watch stated that they were much disturbed by missing people in annexed Crimea. Human right activists said that three Crimean Tartars listed as missing and on some bodies of those dead the signs of tortures were found.

Over the past few months the tension on the Crimean Tatars, most of them were against Crimea annexation, has been reinforced. Russian authorities seized the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars and sought through the houses of the leaders of the Crimean Tartars.
