Moscow's court to hear case of pilot Savchenko

Moscow's Basmanny Court will hear the complaint of the Ukrainian pilot.

Nikolay Polozov, one of Nadiya Savchenko's lawyers, wrote it on Facebook on September 9.

“The complaint of Nadiya Savchenko's defence team about sending her for a forensic psychiatric evaluation will be heard by the Basmanny court at 10:00 on September 26, courtroom 19,” he writes. “I sincerely hope that the Basmanny court, head of the Investigative Committee Bastrykin and Prosecutor General Chaika will consider the complaints in a fair and legal way.”

Savchenko's lawyer Illya Novikov said he would take her complaint about the refusal to open a criminal case over kidnapping to Voronezh.

Nadiya Savchenko was captured by terrorists in the Donbas region. The pilot is now held in a jail in Voronezh.
