Force realignment in eastern Ukraine

Ukraine realigns its forces and sends additional subdivisions to the country's eastern regions.

The statement was made by president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at a meeting with heads of parliamentary groups, censor.net reports with a link to the president's press centre.

According to Petro Poroshenko, the Ukrainian army has been reinforced significantly in the last four months.

The president thanked the heads of the parliamentary groups that supported the decree on mobilisation.

“The mobilisation will help strengthen our Armed Forces. Another reason is the rotation of servicemen on the front. We should give them an opportunity to visit their homes and restore their forces,” Petro Poroshenko said.
