Searches in Mahilyou: Policemen came to flat of human rights activist

Policemen are making a search and seizing computers in the flat of Barys Bukhel, a human rights activist.

The reason for the search was an inspection started upon an application of the CEO of Lenta company Syarhei Pyatrou, who charged Nash Mahilyou on-line media with a libel. Barys Bukhel has not explained what a connection between the human rights activist and this website is, BelaPAN informs.

Besides, today, March 12, policemen have held a search in the flat of a deputy chairman of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) Ihar Barysau. Three computers, a modem and a notebook have been seized from him.

The article which told about the CEO of Lenta Syarhei Pyatrou, was published on the website Nash Mahilyou in January. It informed that “Mister Pyatrou lost his four-room flat and a considerable sum of shares of the enterprise in one of the gambling clubs of Mahilyou.” The CEO calls it a libel.
