Pavel Seviarynets: Belarusian orthodoxy should stay with us

There are two divisions in Belarusian Orthodox Church. One is connected with the "Russian peace", second is the national one.

Pavel Seviarynets, the co-Chairman of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party, told in his interview with Radio Racyja.

- We do believe not in some Fathers, metropolitans, or even patriarchs, but in Jesus Christ, who saved us, he stated. - Our brothers and sisters from Catholic and Protestant churches belong to the true church of Christ as well. The Church is a mystic community of people, but not just only a place, institute and hierarchy. And the worst thing is that one can commit the greatest sins within it. However, the paradise is safe from the worst things. Those who repent sins and believe will join the Kingdom of Heaven. I observe two divisions in the Orthodox Church today. The first, which is connected with "the Russian peace", adheres to administrative methods, xenophobia and sometimes to chauvinism. The second is bright, surrounded by white-red-white tape. Belarusian orthodoxy should not be with Moscow or the Black Hundreds! Along with that we will surrender our Euphrosyne of Polotsk, Konstanty Ostrogski, Kirill of Turov.

At the same time the politician considers the threat of the "Russian peace" extremely serious.

- At any time ordinary non-educated delinquents or young people going in the gym, even those sitting at the computer may turn into a zombie, he stated. - We have already seen them in Crimea, Donetsk and "Islamic State". Due to modern psycho-technologies it is quite possible to program consciousness. Therefore, there are young people in Belarus who preach hatred towards the West, Jews, the Belarusian Renaissance and people of other faiths. This is the way the Black Hundreds act through.

It is crucial that these haters are guided not by "love to Russia", ideas of Russian classics, but self-affirmation through denigration of others, especially a radical one. It inspired Hitler and now inspires lots of these volunteers going to the Donbass and sometimes coming back in zinc coffins. The Belarusians do not need another war and genocide!
