EDB head: Belarus has already received first loan tranche of $3 billion

Meanwhile, the Belarusian authorities have not made any official statements about receiving the first installment of the loan of the Eurasian Development Bank yet.

The director of the Eurasian Development Bank, who manages the funds of the Eurasian fund of development stabilization, Dmitry Pankin, said that the EBD had considered the application of Belarus about a credit of $3 billion, and has already transferred the first tranche to Minsk, Telegraf.by writes.

“At the moment there is an application of Belarus for another loan of $3 billion. The first tranche has been transferred,” he said in an interview to the Eurasian communications centre.

As said by the EDB head, accommodating with the next tranches is to depend on “how the macroeconomic situation would evolve, what conditions would be followed, and what would not be followed.” “To our mind, talks are carried out in a constructive way, we manage to achieve considerable progress,” Dmitry Pankin said.

Meanwhile, the Belarusian authorities have not made any official statements about receiving the first tranche of the EDB loan. The only statements that have been heard are that Belarus’ credit application would be considered by the EDB until the end of 2015. At the same time, in early August officials of Belarus said that even the sum of the future credit of the EDB had not been defined yet.

In addition to that, the EDB head said that Belarus had not still received the last 400 million tranche of the previous loan of the EurAsEC, which total sum is also $3 billion.
