Activists put up a banner “Set Anarchist Dzmitry Palienka Free” in a busy street.

On Saturday, May 28, a group of anarchists held a rally of solidarity with anarchist Dzmitry Palienka.

He was detained during the “Critical Mass” cyclists’ protest rally. At the moment he is in jail. He is charged with “violence or threat of violence against law enforcement officers” (Art. 364 of the Criminal Code) for allegedly tearing a traffic policeman’s vest.

The banner “Set Anarchist Dzmitry Palienka Free” was put up as a sign of solidarity with the anarchist on a bridge in busy street.

Anarchists call for rallies of solidarity with Dzmitry. “Today they arrest a cyclist, tomorrow – any of us,” – the statement on the anarchists' website “Revolutionary Action” says.
