Nyaklyayew: Russia Must Realize the Belarusians Will Not Let Ruin the Country

The society must be mobilized before bandits start creation of any "Peoples' Republic".

The leader "For Statehood And Independence!" movement Uladzimir Nyaklyayew considers hazard of separatism real, Belaruskaya prauda writes.

- What does All-Russian National Movement which tries to "unify Russia, Belarus and Ukraine" mean to Belarus?

- This is a direct hazard to our statehood and independence. Political structure states in its document its goal to return Belarus to the united Russian state. While executing these objectives Belarus will disappear, it will be the part of "Russian world."

Strelkov's organization is not the only one which has such documents and programmes. It was informed about different public organizations in Belarus which, in fact, were anti-Belarusian and were financed by Russia.

Today this is not potential, but real threat. Our task is to mobilize society before bandits start creation of any "Vitsebsk Peoples' Republic". If someone thinks this is impossible then he'd better take a look at "Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics" and what is being done there.

–The former ambassador of Ukraine in Belarus Roman Bessmertny said Russia had already begun to practice "the Donbas scenario" in eastern Belarus.

- It seems like it has grounds. In the eastern part of Belarus a lot of Russian branches which explore the ground are established. This is a grave threat which cannot be ignored.

–But official Minsk is silent. Doesn't it see the situation?

–I do not think the Belarus' government creates illusion of security. How can Lukashenka directly announce the start of annexation, establishment of separatist organizations and split in the society? Lukashenka "does not notice" it because he constantly calls himself "Putin's best friend", but the friend can be offended. The Belarusian regime entirely depends on Russia – it is tied by the leg.

I have created the movement for independence and statehood, a mass movement. Russia must understand: the Belarusians will not let ruin their country.
