Administration of Maskouskiya Cemetery refused to give gravesite

Alyaksandr Kazulin, political prisoner and former presidential candidate is going to address a personal request to Alyaksandr Lukashenka on give a gravesite on Maskouskiya Cemetery for burial of his wife Iryna Kazulina.

“My personal statement and a similar statement to Lukashenka from representatives of the democratic forces re being prepared now,” Alyaksandr Kazulin said.

Iryna Kazulina’s relatives ask to allow a gravesite for burial on Uskhodniya (Maskouskiya) or Kalvaryiskiya Cemeteries,” Alyaksandr Kazulin said.

Earlier the administration of Uskhodniya (Maskouskiya) Cemetery refused Alyaksandr Kazulin of a gravesite, BelaPAN reports.

In the connection the opposition politician called the authorities not to aggravate the situation, but allow to hold the funeral calmly,” Alyaksandr Kazulin said to Radio Svaboda.

“High-ranking people we have contacted with, were trying to do something. But we can’t connect to them now,” the politician explained.

Alyaksandr Kazulin said the other organisation issues of the funeral have been practically solved.

It should be reminded that Iryna Kazulina died on evening of 23 February from oncological disease. A memorial service is to take place in the Red Church from 8.00pm 26 February till 12.00pm 27 February. The funeral is scheduled for that day, too.
