Riot policemen and State department store staff interfered with collecting signatures for Sannikov

Minsk riot policemen and workers of the State department store tried to disband the picket engaged in collection of signatures for nomination of Andrei Sannikov as a presidential candidate.

At about 4.30 p.m. guards of the State department store came up to the picket and demanded the member of the initiative group for nomination of Andrei Sannikov to move the picket to a few metres, explaining that they plan to mount a vending kiosk there. However, after the volunteers moved over, their place was occupied by a picket for collection of signatures in support of Alyaksandr Lukashenka. In a few minutes riot policemen came to the store and demanded members of Sannikov’s initiative group to pack up the picket, referring to the fact that the 5-metres zone around the department store belong to a sanitary protection zone.
