Chasteners refuse to save freezing people

The internal troops again proved that their heroism can only be used to break bricks with their heads and injure people at peaceful rallies.

The internal troops of the Belarusian Interior Ministry mark the 95th anniversary on March 18. The celebration took part on March 15, when the country was freezing in a severe snowstorm, Narodnaya Volya newspaper reports.

Rescue teams, road police and military forces were involved in fighting the storm, but the internal troops that obtained notoriety for crackdowns on peaceful protest rallies ignored people freezing on roads.

“The internal troops were not engaged in the storm recovery efforts. They have another task – to secure public order,” an officer on duty at the main office of the internal troops' commander said to the Onliner.by website. However, he didn't say the troops were celebrating the anniversary. This information appeared this morning on the Belarusian radio.

The celebration consisting of a solemn meeting, concert and banquet took place in the Central House of Officers.
