Yury Belenki about “election”: Why participate in unlawfulness?

The Conservative Christian party Belarusian Popular Front urges to boycott the presidential election in 2015.

This statement has been made in an interview to Radio Racyja by one of its leaders Yury Belenki.

- The situation has not changed, moreover, it has deteriorated, – he said. – And play into the hands of the dictatorial regime means to help it again. Why should we go to the place where lawlessness is committed? You won’t go when some criminal community would invite you to break into a store: you should just be present there, and we are going to do everything ourselves.”

“All electoral campaigns are created according to the scenario of the regime, and it is absolutely obvious,” the politician added.

Earlier a number of Belarusian politicians have made an appeal to boycott the election in case of the refusal of the authorities to release political prisoners.
