Dinamo Minsk lose fourth on road, remain 5th in West

HC Dinamo Minsk wrapped up their KHL's regular five-game road trip losing 1-2 to the Eastern Conference leader Ak Bars Kazan on 1 February.
Justin Azevedo and Dmitry Obukhov scored for Ak Bars while Anders Nilsson turned away 29 shots for the victory.
Matt Allison pulled one back on a power play. Dmitry Milchakov stopped 29 shots in a losing cause.
On 30 January the Bisons suffered a shootout defeat in Yekaterinburg. Despite leading twice in the game, Minskers lost their advantage in regulation and a shootout battle.
Jonathan Cheechoo, Alexander Materukhin and Alexander Kulakov scored for the Bisons on the night.
Aaron Palushaj scored the winner in the shootout to down Minsk 4-3.
Thus, with 88 points after 51 games Dinamo Minsk still sit in the 5th position in the West, three points ahead of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.
The Bisons will have a four-game home series starting from 3 February when they host Medvescak Zagreb. Dinamo Minsk will play Ugra Khanty-Mansiysk on 7 February, Traktor Chelyabinsk on 9 February and Atlant Moscow Region on 12 February.
