The dictator would better not drive the Belarusians to extremes.

“Solidarity” has asked some famous Belarusians what they would ask during the “Big Talk” with Lukashenka, scheduled for February 3.

Chairman of the Independent Trade Union of the Radio-Electronic Industry Workers Henadz Fiadynich has said that the first thing he would ask is when Lukashenka plans to retire in order not to drive the Belarusian citizens into despair.

— There should be no decrees, no enactments. The country must live in accordance with the laws. Belarus should hold free democratic elections – with no falsifications, with participation of independent members of the elections commissions and observers.

— I think I wouldn’t ask any questions, I would just object. I see what’s going on without him. I can see that from the sidelines, when the state leader doesn’t understand something or does something in the wrong way. However, it wouldn’t make sense if I asked a question, like, why do you keep doing this or that the wrong way?” – economist Leanid Zlotnikau has told.

The expert has added he would rather hold a dispute with the dictator, give some counter-arguments. However, according to him, he was not invited to the meeting and even if he was, they wouldn’t let him debate with the state leader.

— If it was a discussion, I would participate in it willingly. I would discuss many principle issues related to economy, politics etc., — the interlocutor has said.
