On March 25 Belarusians will come to the square not only with social, but also with political demands.
The leader of the Young Front Zmitser Dashkevich views Mikalai Statkevich's plans concerning the march on March 25 favorably, Radio Svaboda reports. He stresses: "Social issues always sound on Freedom Day rallies, so the issue of "parasites" will be relevant there."
"We go to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the proclamation of the BPR. I see no problem that the action has some social connotation as well.
Actions on Freedom Day have always had some additional connotation: either political after some repressions or pro-Ukrainian, as it was after the annexation of the Crimea.
There always are moods in society that correspond to one or another event, there is nothing wrong if a festive event has the connotation which has developed for one reason or another," – the leader of the Young Front said.
"Give us bread, salt, land, freedom!" – Kupala's call was relevant a hundred years ago and is still relevant. It is social, political, and national," – Zmitser Dashkevich summed up.
