I Am Taking My Chime-Bell
Stas Karpau

As for the “kids”, who will stay at home on March 25 – keep your mouth shut and sleep.

Reading yet another remark on the theme “why I am not going to the March 25 action”, I have a desire to find a chime-bell with a nasty ear-piercing sound – like the one they use at schools – under the table, and start ringing it, announcing the “nap time”.

Those arguments... Yes, I can think of a dozen arguments in favour of the idea that going to any kind of demonstrations is something you’d better not do. Not just this demonstration, but any of them. Every single demonstration.

So, I do understand that the temptation to name your own fear a choice appear almost irresistable. However, it can be resisted.

The point is, you should understand there will never be a demonstration without any reasons not to join it. There will be no case when all the organizational moments will satisfy you. There will be no situation in which we will know for sure we will win if we come. There won’t be anything like this, and that’s it.

So, I am taking my chime-bell. Ding-dong-dong. The kids who will not go to the subbotnik on March 25 – keep your mouth shut and go to sleep. Sleep.
