People’s Leader: Taxi Driver Waits One Hour To Learn About Statkevich’s Whereabouts

A woman drove a journalist to the press-conference of the politician and stayed near the building.

This curious story was shared by a journalist Ales Piletski on his Facebook page:

“At about 9 a.m. while I was on my way to work I learnt from my editor that Statkevich was at home. I could not reach Maryna Adamovich on the phone immediately, only from the editorial office. I called a taxi, a female driver arrived.”

— Are you travelling to work? Do you work somewhere here?

– Yes, here. I work at Euroradio.

– Well, you are a journalist. Such events are taking place in the country now. But you are not allowed tell about them.

– We can. We tell about everything.

– And can you tell that Statkevich had disappeared as well? Can you tell that he had been abducted and no one knows what had happened to him?

– We can. You are driving me to him exactly. He has been found. He came back home to his wife in the morning.

– To Statkevich?? You are not kidding, do you?

– No kidding. I am going to write down the story of his adventures.
