Housing Prices In Belarus

Since the beginning of the year housing prices have been falling in all regional centers.

Since the beginning of the year housing prices have been falling in all regional centres, as well as Mozyr, Polatsk, Lida, realt.by informs. In January-March prices dropped by more than 5% in Hrodna and Homel.

Other group of cities not considered a regional centre has been marked by a positive dynamics. In some cases the price increase is high enough, for example, +3-4% in Salihorsk, Pinsk, Orsha.

With an index of -0.4% Minsk was in the middle of the list as of the first quarter of 2017.

It is no secret that new trends usually appear in the capital, and then they are copied by regional centers and later in the rest of the country's major cities. The situation is quite unexpected: housing prices are getting lower in the regional centres and in other large cities they grow.

Over the past 12 months Minsk has been the only city with the average housing price +1%. Regional cities such as Vitsebsk, Homel have suffered a significant price drop 6% and up to 16% respectively. In Barysau and Maladzechna housing prices fell by 7%, and then Babruisk (-14%), and Lida (-18%).
