The word "freedom" is what millions of Belarusians demand now.
Pavel Seviarynets, co-chairman of the steering committee for creating the party “Belarusian Christian Democracy” has said at the May Day rally in the Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk:
"Dear friends, we must say it loud so that the glass in the windows of Lukashenka’s administration would tremble: we demand the resignation of this regime! And we demand the release of all those whom the authorities detained before these actions. We demand freedom for true Belarusian patriots. This word - "freedom" - is ready now to break out of the hearts of millions of Belarusians.
The empires and regimes, the Communists and the Nazis wanted Belarus to perish. They wanted us to be slaves, then "Soviet people". But our country has survived and will live. Long Live Belarus! "
