Patriot Ales Yaudaha: I Ignore Notorious "Doer’s" Statements

The absurdity of the "patriotic cause" was well felt behind the walls of the remand prison No. 1

Yesterday some patriots’ case defendants were released from custody, among them – the distributor of Belarusian books Ales Yaudaha. An nn.by correspondent talked to him immediately after his release.

"The conditions were more or less ok. At the Valadarski street jail the conditions of detention were better. Better attitude, more space. If you do not consider the form of detention as torture, then there was no torture.

People, who were near me, could see better how I was detained. I was stricken in the face and thrown into a paddy wagon. As for my health, I feel great, I managed to keep fit.

I do not watch TV, I ignore the notorious "Doer’s" statements, so I was not at all aware of the situation with the militants. I did not even have time to think about it, I was immediately told by the guys who detained me: "Do you have a bad life in this country?"

Yesterday in the corridors I saw one of the guys. I understand that we were transferred to the "light" security. I had not bump into codefendants in the corridors before that. I had one or two interrogations. I first gave testimony about the "riots", then they came to me to announce the second charge, I refused to give evidence. For two and a half months nothing was happening, and after the case was passed to the Investigative Committee, I had minimal communication with the new female investigator.

I received letters and newspapers. The degree of censorship is not known to me. Unfortunately, the newspapers, for which I was subscribed, ignored the Belarusian football championship, so I did not know how the Minsk Dynama was doing.

It was like a three-month vacation at work. So, I’ll see how the things are there."

Let's remind that yesterday four more political prisoners-patriots Uladzimir Rumiantsau, Tsimur Pashkevich, Ales Yaudaha and Viktar Danilau were released from the Minsk remand prison № 1. There are seven more political prisoners behind the bars on the "patriots' case" fabricated by KGB.
