The Belarusian authorities ask the West "to stop mansplaining” with them.

A series of provisions of the resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) "The Situation in Belarus", prepared by special rapporteur Italian MP Andrea Rigoni, "abounding with unjustified edification and criticism", were voiced in the Belarusian "parliament". This is reflected in a statement on the official website of the lower "chamber."

"Noting certain positive trends in the development of Belarus-PACE cooperation, we are forced to state that a number of provisions of the report are based on outdated approaches and false dogmas, abound with unjustifiable edification and criticism, including issues that are not within the purview of the PACE," – stated in the comment of the Commission on Foreign Affairs of the "Chamber of Representatives" of the "National Assembly" of Belarus.

"We reject groundless accusations and confirm readiness for an open and constructive dialogue with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on the principles of equality and mutual respect," - the statement of the Belarusian "deputies" says.

On June 27 PACE adopted a resolution calling for the Belarusian authorities to abolish the death penalty and suspend the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant.

On June 28, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry noted that "a number of provisions of the report are not considered objective".
