Ukrainian Social Democrats Held Picket Of Solidarity With Belarusian People

A picket of solidarity was held near the Belarusian Embassy in Kiev.

Belarusian National Congress leader Mikalai Statkevich informed about that on his Facebook page:

The Social Democratic Party (Ukraine) held a picket of solidarity with the Belarusian people and with the Democratic Party (Narodnaya Hramada) near the Belarusian Embassy in Kiev. The picket was timed to coincide with today's prevention rally in Minsk.

We remind that the Belarusian National Congress has called to take part in the prevention rally at Kastrychnitskaya Square in Minsk today, on 8 September, at 19.00.

The statement on holding a rally under the slogan "For Peaceful Belarus!" was adopted at a meeting of the BNC Rada on July 21 in connection with the unprecedented Russian-Belarussian exercises West-2017 from September 14 to September 20. A lot of people believe that part of the Russian troops will stay after the exercises on the territory of our country.
