The agreements made by the democratic forces are a breakthrough.

Almost all Belarusian democratic forces unite to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Belarusian People's Republic in 2018.

Polskie Radio reported this, calling the agreements reached on January 15 a "breakthrough."

In 2018, the Belarusian society will celebrate the centenary of the proclamation of the Belarusian People's Republic. Democratic forces try to unite their efforts and coordinate the festive events.

On January 15, a meeting was held, which various democratic organizations, including the Belarusian National Congress, attended. An unanimous decision was made that the patriots would be preparing together for the celebration of the jubilee.

– This is an exceptional event. It was long waited by everyone who is concerned about the future of Belarus and the Belarusian democratic movement,Viachaslau Siuchyk, one of the BNC leaders, said.

According to him, most decisions were taken unanimously at the meeting.

– It is very important. This is a rare thing recently, when the Belarusian opposition has united and represents a common appeal to the society – we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the BPR together. A mass action will be held in Minsk on this occasion on March 25, 2018, – he added.

We remind, that on January 15, the democratic forces agreed on a joint celebration of the 100th anniversary of the BPR. Participants of the meeting adopted a resolution to hold a mass action on March 25 in Minsk. They unanimously agreed that the action should be held on that day. The celebration of Freedom Day will begin on Yakub Kolas Square at 14.00. After that, they plan that the participants of the rally will march along the roadway of Nezalezhnastsi Avenue.
