New Year's "Gifts" Held Back From Workers’ Salary In Baranavichy

Workers of cotton factory were surprised, having received payslips after holidays.

The publicly held company Baranavichy Cotton Production Association originally approached the issue of New Year's gifts for the working collective. The amount spent on gift certificates was held back from the salary.

A reader informed site Charter97.org about it on behalf of the workers:

"I am writing on behalf of the workers of the Baranavichy cotton factory. I want you to make public the state of affairs at the Baranavichy Cotton Production Association: before the New Year, they handed out personal gift certificates worth 50 rubles for the company's products in the factory store Blakit.

However, having received the payslips, we found that they had held back 50 rubles for a gift. I want other people to share the joy of our beloved enterprise’s "care."

We remind that the Baranavichy Cotton Production Association is the largest light industry enterprise of the republic. It has been specializing in the production of cotton yarn, harsh fabrics, ready-made fabrics and garments for more than 45 years.
