The World Economic Forum is being held in Switzerland.
It’s one of the main international events taking place in Switzerland, which traditionally evokes interest among politicians and businessmen from around the world. In 2018, a lot of world leaders are deliving reports at the forum – for example, Donald Trump, Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron, gazetaby.com writes.
It is expected that the event will help to provide answers to economic problems – in particular, how to confront crisis trends in the world economy amid growing competition. In addition, Davos will traditionally become a platform for large-scale financial borrowings.
Against this background, it is interesting that Lukashenka and Putin decided not to attend the event. Moreover, last time, a high-level Belarusian delegation visited the Davos forum in 1995.
The Ukrainian delegation, headed by the country's President Petro Poroshenko, on the contrary, decided to visit the forum en masse.
