The activist was detained in Kurapaty yesterday.

Activist Dzianis Urbanovich, detained in the Kurapaty stove yesterday, was released from the police department after questioning. He was detained yesterday, on November 7, at about 3 pm near the “Let’s Go Eat” restaurant, the protests against which has lasted since May 31 this year, Radio Racyja informs.

“They told me I had to formalize some documents in the framework of administrative proceedings over my participation in the action on October 29,” the activist said.

Urbanovich is charged under Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (participation in a “non-sanctioned event”). In the Barauliany district police department of Minsk, Dzianis Urbanovich was handed a subpoena to appear in the police on November 9.

On October 29, the Night of the Murdered Poets was held in Kurapaty. Over 70 people participated in the action.
