Independent Journalists Detained In Salihorsk

Policemen noticed their television camera and decided to check the documents.

Journalists Tatsiana Bialashova and Maryja Artsybashava, working in with Belsat, were detained near the Salihorsk district court building, the website of the television channel Belsat reports.

The police noticed the television camera and decided to check the documents.

"They called someone. And then they told us that they had information that we worked in with the TV channel Belsat. We were taken to the police department," – Tatsiana Bialashova says.

A protocol was drawn up against them at the local police department, but Tatsiana Bialashova and Maryja Artsybashava refused to sign it. After that, the journalists were released.

The journalists were detained by local policeman Mikhail Aliakhnovich.
