Gabi Kiki: It's Hard To Walk Around Mahiliou Alone

Cameroonian defender of Dnepr Gaby Kiki has complained of not always pleasant meetings with people in the Belarusian streets.

"The Mahiliou team treats me perfectly, I like everything here, but at the same time I sometimes feel lonely, because I'm the only African in the team, in the city.

People in the streets take notice of me, their reaction to the color of my skin is not always positive. If there are fans, they immediately recognize me as a Dnepr player, but if not, then it's hard for me to walk around the city alone. Often the matter is not limited only to the attention of passers-by. For example, I was called "Nigra", or whatever they call us here, "black," in a Babruisk supermarket. Therefore, I always prefer to be in the company of one of the team partners," – the African legionnaire said in the program Football Time on the channel Belarus 5, Pressball reports.
