Leanid Kulakou: They Not Only Want To Eat And Drink On Bones, But They Also Break Bones

The activist of European Belarus returned to protect the tract having his hand in plaster.

Leanid Kulakou, the activist of the civil campaign European Belarus, one of the defenders of Kurapaty, commented on yesterday's incident, when a car hit him near the ill-famous restaurant, to the site Charter97.org:

– Yesterday, Belarusian Christian Democracy party was on duty in Kurapaty. I decided to join the activists for several hours to support. We did not let a single car go to the restaurant. I want to note that there were a lot of conscious people. We talked to them, distributed booklets. They nodded their heads and left the "tavern on bones."

And then a Toyota dove up to us. There were two women, blondes, in the car. We appealed to them not to go to the restaurant. The women smiled to that and began to move. That is, they slowly began to move onto the people! The demonstrators began shouting to them: "Where are you going?" They stopped again.

I stood behind the young activist Dzianis Urbanovich. After standing for a while, the Toyota started moving again, directly to us. The women laughed, they were enjoying the situation. In the end, as I later learned from the video, they hit Urbanovich with a bumper, he leaned back from the car and fell on me. That is, Dzianis jumped back, and I got under the car. Other activists immediately began to shout: "Stop, what are you doing?"

The blondes immediately stopped, laughed and left. People shouted them: "The traffic police is coming, why are you leaving?" But they did not care. So they hit down a man and just left.

I would like to note that there was a police officer in civilian filming everything on camera next to us. There was such a dialogue between him and us:

- Call traffic police.

– I do not know the phone number.

– 102.

– I have no phone.

As a result, we called the traffic police ourselves. They arrived soon and the traffic police officers called an ambulance. Then they brought those blondes. It turned out that a daughter was driving while her mother was sitting in the passenger seat.

One of the traffic police officers went to the restaurant to watch the records made by outdoor surveillance cameras. A few minutes later he ran out from there, so that those ladies didn't leave again.

The ambulance came and I was taken to a hospital. I had my arm x-rayed. I thought that I had a severe bruise, but it turned out to be a fracture of the ulnar bone. They put a plaster. Police officers told me that "these two fools re in a trouble now." It's worth at least deprivation of rights for three years. Doctors say that it would take a long time for my arm to heal. I'm already a man of age.

I want to note, it is very important for me that there is moral support every day. People support me. And I want to thank them for this.

As for the visitors of the restaurant I will say as follows. They not only want to eat and drink on bones, but they also break bones.

You see, people should not forget about the terrible past of the 1930s. Usually there are monuments in a cemetery on which the dates of life and death are written. And in Kurapaty people lie and there is no information about them. No names, no dates. No one will come and lay a flower. Their souls scream to be just let rest in peace.

Tomorrow and on Saturday I will go to Kurapaty again. On Saturday, it will be the turn of the civil campaign European Belarus to be on duty there. I have to be there with my friends.
