On the day of pronouncing the sentence in the «trade unions case», activists will gather near Lukashenka's administration.

Leader of the independent trade union REP Henadz Fiadynich commented the initiative of the activists to file a personal appeal to Lukashenka's administration, for praca-by.info.

- The official website of the REP tarde union published information that on August 24, before the announcement of the sentence, the union activists are going to file a personal appeal to Lukashenka's administration. What is the purpose of this initiative and in what form will it happen?

- I learned about the submission of such application only yesterday. This is a personal initiative of the REP trade union activists. Of course, I cannot deny or allow people to apply to Lukashenka's administration: this is their right. And this right should be realized: everyone who wants to file a written appeal should be accepted, and their appeals should be registered. I don’t know at what time the people plan to gather - ten in the morning, half past nine, eleven - it is their right. And I want to say a few words, especially to the law enforcement officials: if you try to present it as an unauthorized action, as an assembly or a meeting — it’s not going to work: you cannot prevent people who want to exercise their right. This is not a mass event in any case.
