Veranika Mishchanka: We Pull People Out Of State Of Indifference At Pickets
VERANIKA MISHCHANKA

The activist spoke about the unique sociological observation made in recent days.

The well-known video marketer, activist of Mikalai Statkevich's Narodnaya Hramada Veranika Mishchanka answered to the discussion on Facebook about the purpose of the autumn street campaign:

"Following the yesterday's discussion about the purpose of our street campaign. I am posting my answer from my private messages to my page.

One goal is elections. Real, fair elections. Lukashenka's resignation and change of power. The return of the parliamentary-presidential government.

Before you change the power, you need to change your mindset. Most of our people are filled with propaganda. At our pickets we pull people out of the state of indifference. That's why we started with small but remarkable street actions. Daily, provocative for the authorities...

I'm very interested in how much we can wake people up, too. At least the snapshot I got on the street is unique in terms of sociology. Now I will be able to work with these audiences throughout the year.

Statkevich is the leader of the protest. He is the only one who can make people follow him. Even if they don't let him win, we stand here to give people a real opportunity to choose from real candidates.

That's what happened yesterday, when I decided to stand with our stand near Belaya Rus' stand. After 5 minutes there were at least a dozen people around us. After half an hour, Belaya Rus shut up, and they were very uncomfortable with us. But our passions were boiling over.
