Portraits and Manifests of Dzmitry Palienka Appeared at Pickets of European Belarus

The trial of the political prisoner starts tomorrow, September 25th.

The case of Dzmitry Palienka will be considered by Minsk City Court. The first hearing starts tomorrow at 10 am, the press service of the European Belarus civil campaign reports.

A few days ago, Dzmitry Palienka sent a manifest. He officially declares his position.

"I believe that the closed nature of the trial, as well as the gag order, signed by my lawyer, is a special repressive step to convict me on the cases I am not guilty of," the activist said. - I am accused without evidence to hide these facts from the public.

According to the Criminal Procedure Code, there are no grounds for the closed hearing!

In this regard, I inform you that I have decided to boycott the trial. A complete boycott. I will have to take other measures unless the trial is made public. My right to a fair trial is violated and I see no other way out.

Portraits and manifest of Dzmitry Palienka are hanging today at pickets of European Belarus in the center of Minsk.
