Vox Populi: Make It Less Parasites In Ministries

Vox Populi: Make It Less Parasites In Ministries

Tell your grandchildren the tales about “our sugar is sweeter”.

The authorities set the maximum minimum retail price of 1.5 rubles for sugar till the end of the year. That is, from October 1, it will be impossible to find sugar cheaper than this amount. This is provided for by MARCH Decree # 78 of September 25, 2019, Solidarity writes.

It is noteworthy that the news about the rise in price of sugar excited people. "Well, well, well! They say we have piles of our own sugar. Instead of lowering the price, they increase it. Where is the logic? ” commentators on discussion platforms are surprised.

Most, however, were not so much indignant at the price as the very approach to the state regulation.

“The state regulation of especially important products, as I understand it, was invented so that they would not become too expensive in order to protect the poor. And here we see the opposite.”

“Market competition is not for us. Although I myself don’t buy Russian sugar in principle, why should a poor consumer pay more for what is actually cheaper? The logic is simple: they make profit on own citizens.”

“See what we’ve come to: it’s cheaper to bring sugar from Russia than from Haradzeya or Slutsk! Our products are out of competition for us! ”

Some, however, saw certain plot in this step of the authorities.

“The logic is to keep our factories, because we are losing the competition.”

“But what about the free movement of goods / services, etc. .... Is it not clear that the “sugar saga” with Russia has already ended? Nobody needs our sugar at such a price, and “strong business executives” can only reduce the cost of production by conducting another “modernization”. But remembering the experience of cement, wood and flax - no one wants to start this. Reduce parasites in ministries, produce as much as the country needs, plus real exports. And tell your grandchildren the stories about “our sugar is sweeter, therefore it should be more expensive”.
