RIA «Novosti»: Russia Cuts off Oil to Belarusian Refineries 

Moscow and Minsk can't agree.

January 1, Russia cut off oil to the Belarusian refineries. RIA Novosti informs referring to a source in the oil industry of Belarus.

Earlier it was reported by Reuters with reference to sources in the oil industry.

It will be recalled that Moscow and Minsk can't agree on the price of oil, the tariff for transit through the territory of Belarus, as well as on compensation for the economic decline at the Belarusian refineries after the tax manoeuvre in Russia.

December 31, after a telephone talk with the President of Russia, Aliaksansr Lukashenka held a meeting with the leadership of the petrochemical complex.

Following the meeting, chairman of Belneftekhim Andrei Rybakov said that the president had instructed to provide oil supplies from alternative sources in the coming days. First of all, the matter concerns deliveries by rail from ports on the Baltic Sea, as well as the use of the Druzhba pipeline.
