On January 28, the European Belarus activist was transferred from Vitsebsk to Polatsk under the supervision of Polatsk police department employees.

Now Aliaksandr Krutkin is in Polatsk temporary detention center, this has been confirmed by local activist Viktar Stukau, reports racyja.com.

- Yesterday at about 20.00 I approached the Polatsk district police department, the door was locked. I pressed the button, the officer on duty answered me, asking what I needed. I explained that I wanted to know if Ales Krutkin was there, I was told that he was there at the TDF. No other information was given.

Vitsebsk human rights activists found out that in the evening of 28 January Ales Krutkin was taken to the court of Polatsk and Polatsk district. For his participation in the protest against the "deeper integration" in Minsk, he was arrested for 15 days under Part 3 Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code. The same day he was tried in Vitsebsk for posting stickers "Basta to the Collective Farm Dictatorship" on the building of the Vitsebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office. However, Judge Illia Belavus did not consider this administrative case and sent the materials for revision to the police.

Before leaving for Polatsk, Aliaksandr Krutkin warned his associates and journalists that he would go on a dry hunger strike if he was not released.
