The European Union has activated a sanctions list against Belarusian officials, which includes 40 people. This was stated at the final press conference of the EU summit by the head of the European Council Charles Michel. A recording of the speech was posted on the EU chapter's Twitter page.
"We implemented the blacklist of 40 names today," he said.
It is clarified that the EU sanctions list for Belarus includes the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a number of KGB leaders and other commanders of security forces, the head of the detention center in Akrestsina Street, and members of the CEC.
