Average Pensions In Minsk Dramatically Decreased

The authorities have classified the number of pensioners.

Average pensions have fallen sharply in Minsk. Some of them by more than Br7 rubles. This follows from the data of the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of Minsk city executive committee. At the same time, the social pension is Br144, and those of the people with disabilities caused by the Chernobyl disaster - Br1,612. At that, the Committee has stopped publishing the number of pensioners. Earlier it was reported that in January-August, Minsk lost 8.5 thousand of those on a well-deserved pension.

As of November 1, the average size of all pensions was 551.54 rubles. This is 20 kopecks less than at the beginning of September.

The maximum size of pensions for working pensioners in Minsk is Br608.8, while for non-working - Br923.8.

The average size of the labor pensions in Minsk was Br558.91 on November 1, while the minimum age pension - Br72 (not including surcharge for years of service of 20 years for women and 25 for men).

Benefits for the loss of the breadwinner per one family member amounted to 347.17 rubles. This is 3.23 rubles less than at the beginning of September.

Average retirement pensions for disabled veterans of WWII on November 1 increased to 959.55 rubles. This is by 1.65 rubles less than at the beginning of September.

The average size of disability pensions at the beginning of November was at the level of 471.4 rubles. Thus, disability pensions due to general illness - 443.5 rubles, because of an occupational injury or disease - 233.1 rubles. Disability pensions following the Chernobyl disaster dropped to Br1,612.5. This is 7.44 rubles less than on September 1.

Social old-age pension, which is assigned to men at 65 years old and to women - at age 60, amounts to Br144.01 for Minsk citizens, as well as in the country as a whole.

However, the Committee on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of Minsk city executive committee has stopped publishing the number of pensioners, as well as those who are still working on a well-deserved pension. Earlier it was reported that in January-August this year, Minsk lost 8.5 thousand pensioners.

We remind that in October real pensions in Belarus fell again, which are calculated adjusted for price rises. They decreased by 0.9% in September. This year, labor pensions were raised once - in September, but that increase was "eaten up" by record inflation.
