Political Analyst: Civil Society in Belarus Formed at All Levels

Political analyst Petr Kuznetsov noted in an interview to Belarusians and the market that Belarus would have a very responsible, transparent and legal democratic state:

- The Belarusian situation is qualitatively different. In our case, the peaceful protest of 2020 was necessary to have a civil society formed at all levels. Earlier, we also had quite a strong civil society. As for the majority, it existed within the framework of the "third sector," i.e. as a rather structured society within some organizational framework. In the last couple of years, the process move, and many new initiatives began to appear which did not fit into the classical "third sector" anymore. The year 2020 gave all of this a tremendous boost. Today, we can say that Belarus has formed a civil society. And "civil society" and the "third sector" are not identical notions.

A lot has been said and written on this question. The essence is the same: the experience of 2020 was necessary. Due to it, if the Belarusians manage to get out of this deadlock without war and blood, we will have a very responsible, transparent, and lawful democratic state. We already have almost everything for that.
