Zelensky: Seizure Of Kiev, Kharkiv And Odessa Will Be Practiced At West-2021 Exercises

The maneuvers will be held at the training grounds of Belarus and the Western Military District of Russia in September.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that there is information that the seizure of Kiev, Kharkiv and Odessa will be practiced at the military exercise "West-2021," which will be attended by Belarusian and Russian servicemen.

The politician said this to Agence France-Presse, Reuters and Associated Press reporters in an interview, the full text of which was published on the Ukrainian president's website on Wednesday.

Zelensky does not rule out that Belarusians and Russians will be practicing the seizure of Kiev, Kharkov and Odessa at the "West-2021" exercise

"Why here - according to the information we get - are they practicing possible seizure of Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov? One just wonders how it is possible to say one thing and do another," Zelensky commented on the upcoming exercise "West-2021".

He added that Ukraine is ready for an escalation of the conflict in Donbass, but does not think it will happen in the near future, reports his press service.

"The probability of provocations will increase, in particular, in mid-September, when there will be "West-2021," Zelensky is sure.

The Russian-Belarusian strategic exercise "West-2021" will be held at the training ranges of Belarus and the Western Military District of Russia in September.
