Euronews: EU Countries To Limit Purchases Of Tobacco Products From Belarus

The EU countries will impose sanctions on Belarusian tobacco producers, Euronews writes, citing its own sources.

As previously reported, the EU countries today agreed on economic sanctions against the Belarusian regime. They will affect the petrochemical and banking sectors, telecommunications, and potash production. The adoption of the sanctions is scheduled for next Thursday.

As noted by Euronews, the EU countries have agreed to ban the export to Belarus of any communication equipment that can be used for espionage. It is also planned to strengthen the arms embargo.

The news is that the EU will impose restrictions on the purchase of tobacco products from Belarus.

It should be added that most of the cigarettes from Belarus end up in the EU countries in the form of smuggling.
